Moving Tips -- Don't Unload Your Boxes Unless You Read This

No matter how excited you are to haul your boxes into your new home, try to curb your enthusiasm and learn a few tricks on how you can make your move smoother and less stressful. Below are four things you can do to save yourself from extra work later.
1.
Pay your new home a visit before the moving day
This is the perfect opportunity to make a final inspection of the house you are moving into. Look for anything that might need some fixing, cleaning or organizing. Doing all these before you even arrive is easier as there are no boxes to block your way. If you can afford it, consider hiring a cleaning company to ensure a deep clean.
2.
Mark the boxes accurately
The boxes should be accurately labeled so your movers can easily identify which boxes to put in which rooms. If you have plenty of rooms that could serve more than one purpose, be sure to give it a specific name as well. For example: bedroom 1, bedroom 2, music room, office, dining room etc.
3.
Order dinner or simply eat out

Even if you arrive in your new home early, there is no guarantee that you could finish unpacking on the same day. Therefore, prepare some healthy finger food in your first night. Try ordering a pizza or treat your family for a dinner out.
4.
Set up your sleep items
Nothing is better than climbing up in your soft, comfortable bed after a hard day's work. Hence, unpack your sleep items first. Bring out your pajamas, toiletries and set up your bed when your ready to doze off.
