Protecting Collectibles When Packing For Moving

Packing is an essential part of moving. If you are able to pack your collectibles properly, you are more likely to unpack them in good condition. Surely, you made good investments in these collectibles so you want them safe when you move.

Collectibles usually come heavier than you thought they were. Because of this, make sure that you identify the really necessary things and leave behind those trashes. When choosing moving boxes for collectibles, make sure that they are sturdy and of the right sizes.

When packing, put into the box bigger items first. Ensure that fragile items are wrapped with newspaper or bubble wraps to protect them during transportation. Periodically test how heavy the box is to see if it can hold more items. Take note that if the weight is more than what the box can carry, the box will break.

Make sure that boxes neither overfill nor under-fill to avoid caving in. It is safe to keep the weight of the box to a maximum of 30 pounds. Putting weight more than 30 pounds is already difficult to handle.

Packing collectibles is both fun and stressing. But if you take note of these packing tips, packing is a rewarding experience.
